Courtland defeats Riverbend!

Courtland improved to 6-1 by defeating Riverbend 9-0.

In singles Ben, Alex, Andrew, Tevin, Chase and Greg all won.

In doubles Ben/Alex, Andrew/Chase and Tevin/Greg added victories.

In exhibition matches Scott and Ryan also won!

Courtland travels to Eastern View for a makeup match on Wednesday, April 1.

Cougars fall to JM

The Courtland Boy's fell to 1-1 with in tough loss against JM. The Jackets defeated the Cougars 5-4 in a hard fought match. Congratulations to Tevin and Chase for winning in singles and Andrew and Chris and Tevin and Chase teaming up for doubles wins. Next match is at Spotsy on Thursday.

Courtland tops Caroline 9-0 to open the season!

Congratulations to Ben, Alex, Andrew, Chris, Tevin and Chase for winning both their singles and doubles matches. Combined they only lost 6 total games!!

Picture Day

Pictures will be taken prior to our home match against Massaponax on Monday, March 23. Envelopes will be given out soon.

Practice canceled

No practice on March 5, 2009. There is still snow on the courts. Hopefully it will melt for tomorrow. The scrimmage against Mountain View has been canceled.

DOUBLES Workshop

The Fredericksburg Country Club is hosting an open high school doubles
workshop on March 14, 2009.

Girls: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Boys: 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Format:
45 minutes of on court demonstrations to include doubles strategy, court
positioning, and all things related to being successful at high school
doubles
1.5 hours of supervised doubles match play.
This is a great opportunity for you to get familiar with your partner and
work on things before the upcoming season.
Fee is $20.00 per person and includes indoor court time
Please respond to tennis@fredclub.org or 540-371-0608 if you are interested
or have any questions. Must sign up as a doubles team. Participants do not
need to be members of FCC. This is a member sponsored event.
Minimum of four teams, open to the first ten to sign up.
