Tennis Opportunity!!
MVHS Fall Fest Tennis Tournament
Please join us for the first ever MVHS Fall Fest Tennis Tournament! On Friday, October 16th,
coinciding with the Stafford County Fair held nearby, we will be holding a tennis tournament
benefiting MVHS Tennis. We are hoping this will be a fun event for players of all ages!
Format: 8 game pro set, first one to 8 games wins, outdoor courts at MVHS, guaranteed
two match minimum
T-shirts will be given to all players
Trophies awarded to first place winners and runners up in all categories
Matches will begin on Friday, October 16th at 5 pm. Matches will continue on Saturday,
October 17th at 9 am if needed.
Players: please bring one can of new tennis balls with you.

Here is some tennis information that can help you get ready for the upcoming 2016 Tennis season.

B)YMCA HAS THREE CAMPS

Intermediate Tennis Camp
Ages: 13-18 years. Players focus on improving basic strokes while
learning accuracy, control and movement. Each week differs. Mon
- Thurs from 3:00 - 4:30pm. (3) 1-week sessions begin: 6/22,
7/13, 8/10. Members: $65 / Non-Members: $78
Advanced Tennis Camp
Ages: 13-18 years. Class for skilled players. Must be top 6 on HS
team and be pre approved by Leslie Caliri. Mon - Thurs from 4:30 -
6:00pm. (3) 1-week sessions begin: 6/22, 7/13, 8/10.
Members: $65 / Non-Members: $78
C)YMCA - If you are interested in doing the group sessions let me know.Tthe tennis pro at YMCA may be interested in doing this.
2)Local tennis coaches in the area if you like get private lessons. You don't have be a member at any of these clubs get lessons at (YMCA,UMW,FREDERICKSBURG COUNTRY CLUB, FAWN LAKE) Refer to last posting with contact information.
3)Courtland information on physicals - Before you can participate in any activities Coach Williams run at Courtland you must have a physical
a)Your current physical is good until June 30.
b)You can go ahead and get your physical for 2016. As long as the physical is dated after May 1,2015 and everything is signed and complete its it is good from date you turn it in until June 30,2016. You can get a copy of the physical and find out more information from:

4) If you know of any boys players that are interested in playing tennis please have them contact me mmalobic@spotsylvania.
