2013 Season fast approaching

I hope everyone enjoyed their winter break!!  As the first semester draws to a close, the second semester brings the start of the tennis season.  Tryouts will be Feb. 18 - Feb. 22.  Please have all your paperwork completed and turned into Mr. Lowman prior to that week so you are able to participate.  Make sure you start some conditioning when possible and if the weather permits get out and play some.  Remember the YMCA has some opportunities to play indoors!!  Listen for school announcements the beginning of February!

Tennis Opportunities

Listed below are a few tennis clinics at the YMCA Massad branch.  The first one begins tonight !!! So call if you are free this evening.  The number to call the YMCA tennis desk is 540.371.9622 ext 1044.  Just call to get your name on the list if you are interested in participating today or any Friday over the next 8 weeks. High School Drop-In - MA

Ages: 14-18 years. Drills and play for the high school player

going out for their high school team. Fridays 4:00 - 5:30 PM

8-week sessions begin: 11/2/12 & 1/4/13

Members: $10 / Non-Members: $12

High School Tournament - MA

Separate for male/female. No more than 2 matches in one

day. One 10 game set with a set tie-breaker at 10 all. Fri/

Sat/Sun 12/14/12 - 12/16/12. Members: $25 / Non-Members:

$35

High School Drill Clinic - MA

Ages: 14-18 years. Tue/Thurs 4:30 - 5:30 PM begins:

1/29/13 Get ready for the upcoming high school tennis season!

Player must be going out for their HS team and should

be at least an advanced beginner. Members: $60 / Non-

Open Tennis CANCELED

Due to the storm that rolled through around 2:15 Open Tennis is canceled for today.

Open Courts on Tuesday, September 4 from 3:15-5:00.  Please be sure to have your physical form turned in to Mr. Lowman and report to the Courtland Tennis Courts at 3:15. Hope to see you there!!

Open Tennis on July 26th cancelled!

We will not have open tennis on Thursday, July 26th.  There can be no open tennis once fall sports tryouts begin so anyone going out for a fall sport, GOOD LUCK!!!  Once we all get back in the swing of the school year we will have some more open court times.  Check back near the end of August as we start back up in September.  Enjoy the rest of your summer and have a great start to the school year!!!

Open Tennis on Thursday, July 19

We will again have open courts this Thursday from 6:00-8:00 at COURTLAND.  PLEASE make sure you have a physical form on file with Mr. Lowman.  If you do not have your form turned in you will not be able to participate!!  No exceptions.
