Courtland wins at Spotsylvania!

The Boy's tennis team defeated Spotsylvania 7-2 yesterday to improve to 3-1.

Singles:
#1 Andrew lost 10-0
#2 Ben won 10-0
#3 Scott won 10-1
#4 Greg won 10-3
#5 Denzel won 10-2
#6 Chris won 10-6

Doubles:
#1 Andrew and Ben lost 10 - 7
#2 Scott and Greg won 10-6
#3 Denzel and Josh won 10-3

Remember to play as much as possible over break and look for the schedule for week of April 12th next week sometime.

Due to the rain this week we have 2 makeup matches.

Monday: Massapponax (A) canceled will not be made up!!
Tuesday: Caroline (A) commons 2:30 wear white
(Caroline only has 4 courts so we may be there for a while we should be back to Courtland around 8:00 PM, bring some $$ to stop for food on the way home)
Wednesday: Spotsy (A) commons 2:45 wear blue
Thursday: Practice
Friday: No Practice - Spring Break begins

Courtland falls to Eastern View

The Boy's played a tough match falling 6-3. A very close match at # 1 that lasted over 2 hours saw Eastern View edge our Andrew!! Dropping 4 of 6 singles matches the team did not give up and played 3 close matches in doubles coming out on top at #1.

The Courtland Boy's tennis team defeated King George 9-0 in their home opener yesterday. Great job guys!!!

The Riverbend match that was postponed due to rain has been rescheduled for Monday, April 26 @ 4:00

Look Ahead

With the nice weather yesterday and today we will get some good work in. Brandon stopped by practice and worked with Andrew and Ben and the rest worked on possible doubles pairings for next weeks matches.

Seeding tourney!

Yesterday was a good day, a lot of wind but we were able to get some work in. Today, March 5, we will play sets to determine the seeds to start the season.

Poor day for tennis!!

Today we attempted to play some tennis but the weather didn't cooperate. Rain mixed with a little snow preventing us from getting a full practice in. You are reminded to listen carefully to the daily announcements at the end of the day in case of inclement weather. I also will be expecting more active participation and viewing of the blog. This will be used as our communication throughout the season.
