Conference Tournament information

Below are the tentative dates .. there is a meeting next Thursday where the ADs will finalize all tournament details:

Team Tournament

May 12 -  1st Round (#6 @ #3,  #5 @ #4)

May 13 -  Semifinals @ Higher Seed

May 15 - Finals @ Higher Seed

Singles/Doubles Tournament

May 19 -  Singles 1st round, Doubles 1st Round, Singles Semifinals -  Location & Times - Still TBD

May 21 -  Singles Finals, Doubles Semifinals, Doubles Finals - Location & Times - Still TBD

All after school activities are cancelled.  No practice today!!!

Senior Night Info

We will have the on court presentations to the Seniors between singles and doubles.  Approximate time will be between 4:45 and 5:15 depending on when all singles matches finish.

Updated remaing schedule

Just got word that the JM match scheduled for May 8 will now have to be cancelled and replaced with the Chancellor match.  We will leave at 3:00.

April 29

There will be no practice today due to the rain.  Keep posted on tomorrow but remember Thursday is Senior Night and the weather is suppose to clear out.

This week

With the rain moving in the match yesterday was postponed with no makeup date yet.  I will let you know once it is scheduled.  As for the next two days it appears we will have rain.  Announcements will be made but most likely if the courts are wet we will not be able to practice.  Senior Night is still on as hopefully the rain will move out early Thursday.  I'll update as soon as decisions are made.

Cougars stay off a good Caroline team!

The Boy's defeated host Caroline 6-3 to improve to 9-3(7-2).  Sitting Marcus in singles for precautionary reasons the boy's all moved up a seed.  Splitting singles 3-3 with 3 very close matches it came down to doubles.  Hunter and Cole made quick work winning 10-2.  Miguel and Marcus were training 9-6 and rallied to win the next 5 games to win the match 11-9 and Patrick and Lyle made easy work at 3 doubles winning 8-1.  Now that are run of away matches is over It's time for a little rest after tomorrow's practice before we make the push towards the post season!!!

The boy's defeated host King George by a score of 6-3 to improve to 8-3(7-2).

Cougars fall to Easternview

Another very close match with Zach winning at line 6 singles and Lyle and Patrick teaming to win line 3 doubles.  Miguel, Cole and Lyle played very tight singles matches losing 10-8 and Marcus and Miguel lost their doubles match by the same score.  As long as the Cougars win the rest of their conference matches they will secure the #2 seed in the Conference Tournament and a bye in the first round.

Couogars shut out host Liberty

The Boys shut out host Liberty 9-0 to improve to (6-1)(7-2).

Cougast fall to Easternview

The Boy's fell to Easternview 7-2 in a very close match that could have went either way!!  Lyle won his singles match and teamed with Patrick to win their doubles matches to post our only two wins.  Miguel and Cole played extremely close singles matches that could have went either way and Miguel and Marcus played a very close doubles match.  We get another chance to play Easternview again on their courts this Friday!

Cougars defeat Fauquier for second straight day

The Boy's bettered their score from yesterday to defeat Faquier 9-0 to improve to 6-1 overall and  5-0 in conference play.  Come from behind victories in doubles by Lyle and Patrick and Aaron and Parker sealed the shutout.  Lyle and Patrick trailed 7-2 before storming back to win 9-7!!  While Aaron and Parker trailed 5-1 and came back to win 8-6!!  The Boy's will host Easternview on Monday, April 7.  This match will determine who will be in First Place in the Conference!!

Cougars back on winning track!

The Boy's defeated Faquier 8-1 to remain undefeated in the Conference and 5-1 over all!  The highlight of the match was Cole's come from behind victory at #4 to remain undefeated for the season.  He was trailing 6-1 when it clicked and he rattled off 7 straight games to win the match 8-6!!!!  In doubles the matches were close but the boy's were able to come away with victories in all 3 matches!

Cougars lose first match of the season to non-conference foe James Monroe

Cougars fell to visiting James Monroe 7-2.  There were many close matches against a strong JM team.  The boy's will travel to Faquier on Thursday to keep their unbeaten conference record in tack!!
