Cougars season ends


The Boys lost a long tough battle with Louisa 5-4 in a semi finals match that finished under the lights and lasted almost 6 hours.  All 3 doubles matches went 3 sets!

 

SINGLES RESULTS

1.  Kyle lost 3-6 6-7 (3-7)

2. John lost 3-6 6-3 3-6

3.   Henry won 4-6 6-3 7-6 (7-3)

4.  Will won 6-1 6-2

5.   Jackson won 6-0 2-6 7-6 (7-2)

Cougars advance to the Conference Semi Finals!!

The Boys defeated Chancellor 5-1 in the quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals on Monday, May 15 against Louisa

Conference Tournament Day 2

The theme of the two days at Easternview DUECES WILD!!


Kyle and John played King George in the Semi-Finals and after a falling behind in the first set 5-2 rallied to a 6-5 lead before King George evened it up to take it to a tie breaker.  Kyle and John won the tiebreaker 7-4 to win the first set.  In the second set they fell 6-4... so another 3rd set match for Kyle!  Kyle and John won this set 6-4 to secure a birth in the Conference Finals as well as a berth in the Regional Doubles tournament!!


In the Finals Kyle and John played Easternview and fell 6-0 6-2.


We will play Chancellor in the team Conference tournament on Wednesday at 3:00.  Wear your Cougar Blue shirts!!

Conference Tournament Day 1 recap

Kyle matched up against Chancellor at the Conference Singles and Doubles tournament.  He had defeated the Chancellors #1 both times during the regular season.  Kyle started off slow dropping the first set 6-4 and played a very close second set that was tied at 6-6.  If ever their is a reason to never give up it was today! Kyle trailing 1-6 in the tie breaker and facing 5 match points, Kyle dug deep and played inspiring tennis to not only even the score at 6 but to win it by rattling off 7 straight points to win the second set!!  He cruised through the third set 6-1 to finish the match with a win 4-6, 7-6 (8-6),  6-1.  He played Easternview in his second singles match of the day, falling 0-6 3-6.


In doubles Kyle and John teamed to down Caroline 6-4 6-1.  The number of passing shots was incredible with both Kyle and John dialing 9 all match!!  The will move on to the semi finals against King George tomorrow at noon.


As a team we will play Thursday at Courtland. The time of the match will be 2:00.  Dismissal will be at 1:30.

Cougars end the regular season with a WIN!

Courtand 3-5 (6-10) defeated Spotsylvania 6-3.
